For a typical consumer flashlight (and not trying to compare it to the flashlights I get at a 'flashlight-geeks' website), this unit puts out a fairly decent amount of light...taking into consideration its low price. And, this unit, as compared to it's 'cousin' 5MM 9 LED 'straight line' (rather than right-angled) flashlight (of which I own two), has almost, but not quite, an equivalent amount of light.
