I purchased at least a dozen of various LED flashlights over the past year. And this one is pretty good for the price. I have other 30+ LED flashlights and this one is clearly superior. It uses three AAA batteries in a well made holder that slides inside the machined aluminum body. I don't know if it consumes 5 Watts or not, but if it is true, that is fairly high power consumption from the tiny AAA batteries. I'll see how long the batteries last and update this appraisal later. But for now, I am entirely pleased.
