I have had this for about 8 months now. It has survived winter camping, huge drops and even being buried in snow. Last weekend I used this light to pound tent stakes into hard ground, and it still doesn't have a scratch! This light is extremely bright and the batteries last a decent time for the amount of light it produces. It will go for about a hour and a half before it starts getting dimmer and another hour and a half of getting dimmer. Even with very low batteries it is still as bright a most lights. I used to be a maglight guy until last weekend when I brought this light and two maglights and lets just say the maglighs didn't fare too well. this may be a little pricey but trust me it will last a long time.
