Incredibly bright, long battery life, water resistant, and rock solid.
The LEDs are recessed into a piece of barstock that has had some flats machined onto it. Heavy threading at the join between the endcap and the body makes the junction almost as solid as the rest of this flashlight. The LEDs are very bright (not quite eye-damaging, but bright enough for old eyes trying to do delicate work), and being LEDs, allow for a very long battery life.
The batteries are a little expensive compared to AAs, but the advantages of this ligh far outweigh this one issue.
I've used one for years, and plan on using it for quite a while longer.
