This is a great micro-size flashlight. I haven't found another that is as small, weighs as little, and throws so much light. It's very durable - I've been carrying the same one in my pocket for at least two years. That said, I find the control button cumbersome to use for anything except turning it on and off. Getting it to dim and strobe takes too much time. I often have to go through the varies modes twice, before I get it into the mode I want.
The Photon III had a superior control interface, in my opinion. The on/off/mode button was dual function. Holding down the front side of the button gave maximum brightness. Pressing down on the back side of the button turned the light on and off, and holding down the back button would cycle it through the dimmer and strobe modes. It was easy to find the mode you wanted, and best of all the light remembered the last mode you were in. I could get to fast strobe mode instantly.
