I bought this for my hubby for Christmas (in lieu of an overpriced SureFire). He loves this flashlight and is very proud of it. He's carried it on his hip every single day since the day I gave it to him. We can light up the treetops from the ground, and we're able to spotlight our neighbor's deck from our deck (which really freaked our neighbor out the first time we did it. Of course it didn't help that my husband yelled "FREEZE!" at him).
We went over the other reviews, and his opinion is that the "half button push" to change the mode isn't a problem and that you'd have to be an idiot not to be able to figure it out (his words, not mine). The only complaint that I might have is that I had to go to Batteries Plus to get batteries for it (WalMart, KMart, & several other places don't carry 123A), and they're not cheap.
